Plextor announced at the Computex 2010 its new & latest PlexMedia networked HD media player & the compatible PX-B120U exterior BD-ROM drive, that combine to offer Blu-ray Disc playback without the need of a Blu-ray player.
The new Plextor PlexMedia is a networked HD media player. It has a 3.5-inch interior drive bay & offers three USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port & Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. The player supports Full HD output through HDMI 1.3a & support for Dolby TrueHD 7.1 & DTS-HD MA 7.1 HD audio.
Plextor’s PX-B120U is an exterior BD-ROM drive that can be connected to the PlexMedia for Blu-ray Disc playback. It can also be used with your desktop or laptop PCs. Also at Computex, Plextor showcases its complete Blu-ray disc drive portfolio, including its PX-B940SA 12X BD Writer & PX-B320SA 8X BD Combo.
