Xbox 360 Medal of Honor Beta Now Live

While PC users have had their hands on the Medal of Honor beta for weeks now, there have been quite a few delays by DICE & EA for the Xbox 360 version. Finally, those who managed to get their hands on a beta code can redeem it for an Xbox Live beta key here.

The beta is set to end on July 31st 2010, while it won’t be surprising if it’s extended for Xbox 360 users due to all the delays. Either way, that still gives you 10 days to get in on the newest FPS from DICE & EA. If you haven’t managed to get a beta code, keep your eyes posted to Twitter as many of our friends, including Joystiq, will be giving beta codes away throughout the day.

Do let us know if you get into the beta & how the experience is on Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 Dual-Mode Controller Facts in Microsoft Patent

A new Microsoft patent has been published by the US Patent & Trademark Office showing a “game controller that converts between wireless operating & wire operation”. This would be dissimilar than current Xbox 360 controllers which utilize the play & charge kit, which basically means your controller is still in wireless mode when plugged in & charging & some users have complained about the interruption that this causes.

The new & latest Xbox 360 controller detailed in the patent would give you the response of a exact wired controller. The controller will be “configured to detect a condition that suggests switching from the wireless mode of operation to a wired mode of operation, pass on the indication to a host game system & transition from the wireless mode of operation to the wired mode of operation.”
