Apple iOS 4.1 Beta has been released to developers for trying purpose which is said to fix the iPhone 4 antenna issue while most of us know this won’t fix real issue instead will only change the way signal bars are shown. Now that iOS 4.1 beta has been released the quest for getting iOS 4.1 jailbreak & unlock once again started for iPhone hackers.
It is not recognized yet whether iOS 4.1 blocks iOS 4.0 jailbreak tools like Redsn0w 0.9.5 & Pwnagetool 4.1 & Ultrasn0w 0.9.3 unlock tool or not but recent tweet from Musclenerd, member of iPhone dev team suggest that old tools like Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta still working for iOS 4.1 Beta.
Yes, you can jailkbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2G non-MC model with Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta 5. If you’ve updated to 4.1 beta iOS on iPhone3G or iPod2G(non-MC), you can use redsn0w to jailbreak. The key is to point it at the 4.0 IPSW (the public one, not the developer GM one). (Yes – point it at the 4.0 IPSW even though you’re at 4.1beta1).
