Apple Creates iOS 4.1 Available to Developers- Includes Promised Signal Bar Changes

Apple has just seeded the first update to iOS 4.0. Update iOS 4.1 is available to devs in Apple’s iPhone Developers Program. Included in the update are the promised changes to the formula for calculating signal strength bars. However, this will roughly certainly not fix the iPhone 4’s antenna/reception issues.

But that there doesn’t seem to be that many changes but we’re sure we’ll find a few things to report as everybody gets their hands on this latest release. There are, however, some changes to Game Center & some API’s. There doesn’t appear to be anything regarding iPad support.

We’ll keep you updated if we find anything interesting. Devs can swing by the iPhone Dev Center to get iOS 4.1 now.
