After listing the LX5 on the support page, Panasonic officially announced the new & latest Lumix DMC-LX5 “ultimate compact, high-performing digital camera”. The LX5 serves as the successor to the LX3. It features a all-new 10.1 Megapixel CCD sensor including expanded dynamic range for better low-light performance, a F2.0 ultra-wide-angle 24mm LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens with 3.8x optical zoom & a 3-inch LCD display with igh CRI (Color Rendering Index) backlight LED.
The newest Lumix DMC-LX5 offers also Power O.I.S image stabilizer, Face Detection, Intelligent Exposure, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Recognition & the Intelligent AUTO mode. It can record 1280×720 HD video in AVCHD Lite format & provides mini HDMI output. The camera is prepared with the new Venus Engine FHD image processor enables higher-speed, higher-performance while compiling the Intelligent Resolution technology.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 will be released in late-August 2010 for $499.95.
