Motorola Droid X Successfully Rooted

Motorola Droid X

Motorola Droid X with e-fuse technology will create rooting almost impossible; this is what we were hearing for last few weeks. But well it turned out e-fuse is not what everybody is saying which Motorola themselves confirmed that it won’t brick your Droid X if you attempt modify bootloader.

Now here is real good news for Droid X users, Droid X has been successfully rooted. Thought it’s still long way for custom roms for Droid X. Check out following trouble-free instructions to root droid X.

How to Root Droid X

Download DroidXRoot.zip file

1: Set up ADB

2: Push exploid to /sqlite_stmt_journals “adb push exploid /sqlite_stmt_journals”

3: type “adb shell”

4: type “cd sqlite_stmt_journals”

5: type “chmod 755 exploid”

6: type “./exploid” & follow instructions on screen

7: type “rootshell”

8: type in password “secretlol”

9: You’re in root!

10: mount your sdcard to pc & put Superuser.apk & su in the sdcard

11: unmount sdcard

12: in adb (make sure your still in root with the # sign) type in:

- cp /sdcard/Superuser.apk /system/app/Superuser.apk

- cp /sdcard/su /system/bin/su

- chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
