TomTom introduces Go Live 1000 GPS Device with WebKit UI

TomTom introduces its new & latest GO LIVE 1000, the first in an entire new generation of navigation devices, “designed to bring real-time services to millions of drivers & tourist”. Boosted by an ARM11 500MHz processor, the device features a new Webkit-based user interface & a capacitive touchscreen.

The Go Live 1000 has 128MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. It wills built-in a new routing algorithm that continuously scans the road network for the fastest routes, and richer & more detailed maps. The new Park Assist feature is also integrated to automatically inform drivers of car parks near their destination. The Go Live 1000 will be available in Summer.
