Intel announced its new & latest Atom platform, codenamed Moorestown that uses lower power & is ready for use on smartphone & tablet devices. The new platform contains the Atom Z6xx processor (codenamed Lincroft) based on 45nm process & the new MP20 (codenamed Langwell) platform controller hub.
The Atom Z6xx SoC offers up to 1.5GHz for handhelds/smartphones & 1.9GHz for tablets & comes with built-in Intel GMA 600 graphics. The new Atom platform supports Android, Moblin 2.1/MeeGo 1.0 mobile software platforms.
